They head to court, and even after some altercations with armed mercenaries, Nadeem gives his testimony in front of a grand jury. However, the jurors were manipulated by Fisk, and all their efforts seem futile as the testimony is dismissed and Nadeem is being discredited as he’s accused of murder.
Desperate to expose the truth, Nadeem takes matters into his own hands and escapes custody, returning to his family house. In there, he records a last message for his family and to help the cause later. Then, he meets his demise at the hands of Pointdexter under Fisk’s and Vanessa’s orders. After all this situation, Matt’s still conflicted on what’s the best way to stop Fisk.
1A New Napkin (Season 3 – Episode 13)
After a season finale like this, it’s not a surprise that people were upset when Netflix canceled this show. “A New Napkin” is full of tension as Matt is determined to take down Wilson Fisk, also now known as Kingpin. To succeed, he infiltrates the heavily guarded Presidential Hotel, where Fisk’s wedding is taking place.
A fragile-minded Pointdexter finds out about Kingpin’s heinous actions and goes on a vengeful rampage against Fisk. This allows Daredevil to follow him unnoticed until Dex disrupts the wedding reception, attacking Fisk and trying to kill Vanessa. Even though this one was saved by Matt, Dex is out of combat as he was severely injured by Kingpin.
After that, the episode comes to its climax in a dramatic face-off between Daredevil and Kingpin. Let’s not forget that Matt came all the way here to finally end Fisk. Ultimately, he didn’t cross that line, and they made a deal after Daredevil threatened to expose Vanessa’s role in Nadeem’s murder. Fisk ends up behind bars once again, and Matt’s friends and secret identity are secure. However, we get to see an interesting scene at the end that leaves anyone expecting Pointdexter to be the nextbig villain of Daredevil.
