My Hero Academiais set in a world where 80% of the population has unique superpowers called “Quirks.” The protagonist, Izuku Midoriya, aspires to be a hero despite being born Quirkless. The anime has quite a few impressive weaponry to flaunt but perhaps the most detrimental are theQuirk-destroying Bullets. As the name suggests, these bullets target the source of a hero’s abilities –their Quirk factor. Created by Shie Hassaikai’s, these bullets don’t destroy the quirk itself but instead hinder the hero’s capacity to use it. There is nothing quite as tragic as having your very essence, the spark that makes you special, taken away. Imagine being powerful and determined and then being rendered useless in an instant by something so boring as a tiny metal projectile.

These shells are the ammunition, each marked with numbers that define their effects. But mostly, they are used to nullify or block attacks. 12The Ripper’s Gloves – Record of Ragnarok

Record of Ragnarokis a rather underappreciated anime because of the time it takes to pick up the pace and truly indulge in the premise. There are all sorts of interesting characters, Loki and Odin from the Norse Mythology, Shiva from the Indian Mythology, Zeus and Heracles from the Greek Mythology, each playing a prominent part in the story. As for Jack the Ripper and his formidableRipper’s Gloves, they’re a Divine Weapon that can transform any object into a weapon with a single touch.
