Following Becky Sharpe, played by Olivia Cooke, who attempts to break out of poverty and into English Society. Set in the days of the Napoleonic Wars, Becky finds herself in the midst of the court of King George IV, via the Battle of Waterloo.

Vanity Fairis a miniseries from 2018 that can be watched on Prime video. The series is based on the 1848 literary classic written by William Makepeace Thackeray. Claudia Jessie, who plays the witty Eloise inBridgerton, can also be found in this miniseries, in the role of Amelia Sedley.

Sanditonfollows Charlotte Heywood and her journey as she leaves her home for a new start in the eponymous Sanditon, a fishing village that hopes to become a seaside luxury resort. Charlotte is a spirited and slightly impulsive woman, who meets a number of interesting characters throughout her journey.

This PBS show is currently on its second season. The episodes will air weekly through the end of April 2022 and can be watched exclusively on PBS.Sanditonis based on Jane Austen’s final and unfinished novel which was written shortly before her death in 1817.

Margaret Wells is a brothel owner and a mother of three daughters living in the 18th century. Her roles often conflict with one another, and when her business is threatened by a rival madam, both her life and her family are at stake.

Harlotsis a three-season show available on Hulu. It ran from 2017 to 2019 and boasts part period piece and part soft-core sex-soap opera. The show’s reviews were mixed, but those who stuck out the three seasons said its addictive nature will find you five episodes in without realizing it.

With 21 Emmy wins already and two more seasons confirmed, we continue to expect great things for this period piece. From the acting to the costume design, this show is perfect for all ages who want to learn a little more about the Queen of England.

A royal woman is forced to choose between her own happiness and her country when she marries the Emperor, played by Nicholas Hoult. Living in Russia in the 18th century makes this choice much more difficult than expected.

The Greatis another of Hulu’s newer shows. While the show is, for the most part, historically inaccurate, it’s full of wit and humor and is loosely based on Catherine the Great. Elle Fanning, who plays the lead role, Catherine, has once again brought a flair to another great role.

The titular Downton Abbey is a grand estate run by the Crawley family. After the next heirs to the estate die aboard the Titanic, an unlikely working-class cousin inherits much to the dismay of the Crawley family. The show centers around the lives of the Crawley family and their servants.

This show is arguably one of PBS' most successful shows having gone on to spawn two additional films.Downton Abbeyis a six-season show that is available to stream on both Netflix and Prime Video. With 15 Emmy wins and a second movie,Downton Abbey: A New Era, set to release in May 2022, fans are certainly excited to see what’s next for these beloved characters.
