Andy Serkis has revealed in the past how shocked he was when his Snoke character died inThe Last Jedi. The actor is not alone.Star Warsfans were just as shocked and many were angry with Rian Johnson’s decision to kill the character before we learned anything about him. And like most fans, Serkis wishes that Supreme Leader Snoke had lived through the fight. The villain was a very intriguing and mysterious character and we’re still holding out hope that J.J. Abrams will reveal some more information about him inStar Wars 9.
In a new interview,Andy Serkistalked further about Snoke and the possibility of a return forStar Wars 9. The actor has been teasing a role in the sequel pretty much sinceThe Last Jedihit theaters, but he admits that he’s purposefully trying to get the rumor mill up and running. The actor had this to say about the character and his death.

“It was a bit of a shock, but I could see exactly why they were going that route, and I think it was a huge surprise in the middle of the film. But I really loved the scene where Rey plays withSnoke. That scene was a fantastic. I just wish he’d survived, but who knows?”
In addition to trying to get the rumor mill going about Snoke’s return inStar Wars 9, Andy Serkis revealed that he has emailed J.J. Abrams to check on the cast and to see how the production is coming along. Serkis didn’t offer any details, but it’s clear that he would like toreturn to the trilogy, andStar Warsfans are hoping that Abrams brings him back as well, even if it’s through a flashback to get more insight into Snoke and his origins.

There have been some pretty strong rumors that theKnights of Renwill be returning forStar Wars 9, and if they do, J.J. Abrams is going to have to address the death of Snoke at some point. Kylo Ren’s rise to power was made when he cut the Supreme Leader in half, which has changed him even further and sent him on an even darker path. It’s believed that Ben Solo will be more of an intense and fully-formed villain this time around, after growing up a bit in the last two installments. And if the Knights of Ren do return, they will more than likely want some answers.
Andy Serkis was recently in the news for something other thanStar Wars 9when he dressed as Theresa May and brought back his Gollum voice fromThe Lord of the Rings. The actor released a video on YouTube urging public to fight for the People’s Vote in reference to Brexit. It’s a humorous video, but it’s also very creepy at the same time. As for Snoke inStar Wars 9, we’re just going to have to sit and wait to see what J.J. Abrams decided to do. you’re able to check out the rest of the interview with Andy Serkis over atGames Radar.
