Based on the animated series of the same name,Avatar: The Last Airbenderis set amid four nations; water, air, earth, and fire, and follows a young boy known as the Avatar who must master the four elemental powers to save a world at war, and fight a ruthless enemy bent on stopping him.

Unfortunately, the critical response to the first season has not been what Netflix had surely hoped for off the back of the success of their otherrecent live-action adaptation,One Piece.Avatar: The Last Airbendercurrently standsat a ‘rotten’ 59% on Rotten Tomatoes, with the consensus reading, “Avatar: The Last Airbenderserves as a solid live-action entry point into the beloved franchise, although it only sporadically recaptures the magic of its source material.”
