WhenBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justicewas first announced in 2013, many assumed thatHans Zimmerwould return to provide the score, since he worked on bothMan of SteelandThe Dark Knighttrilogy. However, the composer expressed reluctance to join this superhero adventure, because he didn’t want to create newBatmanmusic after working onChristopher Nolan’s trilogy.
