The Brady Bunchcast reunited today to celebrate HGTV’s new series A Very Brady Renovation. The network famously outbid popstar Lance Bass andpurchased the iconic Brady Bunch homethat was used for the exterior shots. HGTV is attempting to take the house and make it look like the set ofThe Brady Bunch, which is exactly what Bass wanted to do with the property as well. The surviving members of the cast met up for the first time in 15 years to take a tour of the house before HGTV starts the renovation process.
The Brady Bunch siblingsBarry Williams (Greg), Maureen McCormick (Marcia), Christopher Knight (Peter), Eve Plumb (Jan), Mike Lookinland (Bobby), and Susan Olsen (Cindy) got together for a photo in front of the iconic house after taking a tour of the inside, which HGTV plans to enlarge by 2,000 square feet to make it look like the Brady household in the early 1970s, while documenting it for their new show, entitledA Very Brady Renovation.The Brady Bunchset, where the majority of the show was filmed, was located in nearby Burbank.
The North Hollywood location was purchased afterThe Brady Bunchconcluded in 1973 for a mere $61,000, which when adjusted for inflation, is about $350,000 in 2018 dollars. It hit the market again in 2018, valued at $1.8 million, which is when Lance Bass wanted to get the house. He put in the winning bid, only to have HGTV swoop in at the last second and outbid him. Before that, Brady Bunch star Maureen McCormick thought about buying it when she heard rumors that the house was going to be torn down.
Lance Bass is still a little angry that he didn’t get the house, andThe Brady Bunchfans sided with him, which pretty much forced HGTV to give him a producer role on the new series. It’s not clear if he’ll appear on the show at this time, but let’s face it: he probably will. She said, “They’re all up there together, and I just think they’re smiling down on us.” Florence Henderson passed away in 2016, while Robert Reed passed away in 1992, and Ann B.
