The Russo Brothers were asked in an interview what their favorite costumes were so far, and Joe Russo had an interesting answer. Instead of mentioning one of the established characters, he mentionedCaptain Marvel. Joe Russo had this to say.
“Is it …? Where’s (unit publicist John Pisani)? I can’t remember if we,Captain Marvelon set, is that official? If it’s not, it’s official now. I thinkCaptain Marvelhad a great outfit.”
Joe Russo’s thoughts immediately led to reports thatCarol Danverswas going to make her debut inInfinity War, which was quickly shut down when the Russo Brothers spoke about theCaptain Marvelmovie at San Diego Comic Con and stated that she would not be in the upcomingAvengersmovie. But, a new report reveals that Brie Larson’s Danver character will make her debut in her own movie and then show up inAvengers 4, which is information that reportedly came straight from Disney to clarify Joe Russo’s comments from last summer.
The information comes after a media onslaught from reports from the set ofInfinity Warover the summer was released this week. The press push arrives after it was announced that the release date ofInfinity Warwas bumped up a week to help fight off spoilers for the North American audiences. It was also announced that the long-awaited trailer forInfinity Warwill be released on March 16th with a rumor of pre-sale tickets to follow. Fans ofCaptain Marvelmight be a little upset about this news, but it will be for the better that Carol Danvers is introduced in her own movie.
