Everyone has been talking about the highly publicized defamation trial involving Johnny Depp andAmber Heard, and it’s only natural for its revelations to be used as comedy fodder for comedians.Chris Rock, who was at the center of another recent controversy, even weighed in on Depp v Heard in a new comedy set. And there’s no mistaking which side Rock has taken based on his jokes.

PerLADbible, Rock made the comments on a May 12 show in London as a part of his Ego Death tour. He first brought up the topic of cancel culture, leading to a mention of consent and the #MeToo movement. From there, he joked how what people need to do now is believe all women. Except for Amber Heard, that is. As Rock put it:

Chris Rock Oscar

“Believe all women, believe all women… except Amber Heard… What the fk is she on?Shest in his bed! She’s fine but she’s not sg fine. She st in his bed. Once you st in someone’s bed you just guilty of everything. She st in his bed. What the fk is going on there? Wow. And they had a relationshipafterthat. It must be amazing p**** … I’ve been with some crazy b*s but gdammit.”

While Rock is just joking, the truth is Depp and Heard did not continue their relationship for long after the alleged incident involving the bed. Depp has testified that this was the moment he knew that the marriage was over and decided to move forward with ending the marriage. The next month, the couple had officially separated. Just days later,Heard went public with claims of domestic abuse, filing for a restraining order against Depp. That was the first domino to fall that has led to this ongoing defamation trial.

Chris Rock Is Still Staying Quiet About Will Smith

Chris Rock had a lot to say about the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial, but he’s been largely quiet about his own controversy with Will Smith. Back in March, Rock was smacked by Smith on live television after joking about Jada Pinkett Smith at the Oscars. Rock has not publicly commented on the situation outside of a few brief jokes at comedy shows. After a man attacked Dave Chappelle at Netflix is a Joke: The Festival, Rock had quipped, “Was that Will Smith?”

He also joked that he got his"hearing back"at another appearance. Rock also teased that he’s waiting to “get paid” before he really opens up about that situation, suggesting that he’s saving that story a high-paying interview or something along those lines. For now, he’s sticking with his comedy appearances, and apparently taking aim at some of the other major stories that have been hitting the press in recent months.

Meanwhile, the Depp v Heard trial continues. The court of public opinion seems to be on Depp’s side, but it’s up to a jury to decide if he will win this trial.
