The first teaser trailer for Nolan’sThe Odyssey, which is reportedly playing in theaters in front ofJurassic World Rebirth, has surfaced on X. The footage is being taken down rapidly, but fans quickly noticed that Tom Holland, Jon Bernthal, and Matt Damon were heavily featured in the brief teaser. A voice, who some presume to be Robert Pattinson or John Leguizamo, narrates the trailer, which features several epic shots of massive waves and a weakened Odysseus (Damon) on a raft in the middle of the ocean. It’s a rather tame look at what is sure to bea massive, action-packed production, but it has already been more than enough to get fans excited about the adaptation of Homer’s classic text.

According to previous reports, Holland is playing Telemachus, Odysseus’s son, while it is unknown who Bernthal is playing. It’s been rumored that Pattinson is playing the messenger of the gods, Hermes. The rest of the mainOdysseycast includes Zendaya as Athena, Anne Hathaway as Penelope, Benny Safdie as Agamemnon, Lupita Nyong’o as Clytemnestra, and Charlize Theron as Circe. Other actors whose roles have been undetermined thus far include John Leguizamo, Elliot Page, Himesh Patel, Bill Irwin,Cosmo Jarvis, Samantha Morton, Corey Hawkins, and Mia Goth.

Universal Pictures is giving Nolan a blank check to get his vision done right, but as Leguizamo claims, he is doing things as if he is “an indie filmmaker.”
