After playing in around 50 theaters across the nation,Juror #2is finally headed to streaming later this year. The Clint Eastwood-directed film might be the veteran filmmaker’s last project, but that hasn’t stopped Warner Bros. from practically burying the film during its theatrical release, despite the overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics. But nowJuror #2will be readily available for everyone to watch in the comfort of their own home, for a small fee, of course.

The streamer announced thatJuror #2would be joining the platform as a “Max Original” onDecember 20. Despite being marketed as a Warner Bros. Pictures theatrical release for months leading up to its original November date, it is now deemed a streaming original movie and will exclusively be available on Max. Apparently,Eastwood knew that the film would be headed to streaming, and it didn’t come as a surprise to him. That said, it is hard to shake off the feeling that the film, which boasts a Certified Fresh 93%Rotten Tomatoesscore, would have done well in theaters and potentially made a major awards season run.

‘Juror #2’ Finally Gets Time in the Spotlight

It’s hard to imagine a film from Clint Eastwood with such high praise not finding a bigger audience on streaming. Although it’s unclear ifJuror #2will serve as his final film,as rumors swirl he is eyeing another project, it seems he is ending his illustrious directing career on a high note. His longtime producerpreviously statedthat he talked to Eastwood about his retirement before he eventually decided to doJuror #2. Unfortunately, this hasn’t stopped WB from seemingly sidelining their relationship with the director. After reports in 2022 indicated that CEO David Zaslav criticized the studio for greenlighting the box office flopCry Macho, which Eastwood directed, the company now dodges a full theatrical release for a streaming debut.
