Back in September, production got under way on Warner Bros.‘The Conjuring: The Enfield Poltergeist, which started with an actual priest arriving to bless the set. Last month, we got our first look at the Warrens, played by returning starsPatrick WilsonandVera Farmiga, in newset photosfrom directorJames Wan. Earlier this week, the filmmaker took to his Twitter andInstagrampages again to share even more photos from the set, featuringPatrick Wilson,Vera Farmigaand our first look at co-starSimon McBurney.

Production started in Los Angeles this fall, but the shooting has now shifted to London, withJames Wansharing photos of the cast outside of Marylebone Station. The London Underground station has been transformed to resemble the 1970s, and the director has also shared an interior shot, with a large camera crane being situated inside a London pub. Unfortunately, the filmmaker wouldn’t shed any new light on the story quite yet, as production continues across the pond.

The sequel’s plot centers on one of their most terrifying paranormal investigations, as they travel to north London to help a single mother raising four children alone in a house plagued by malicious spirits.The Conjuringset abox officerecord with the highest opening weekend for an original horror film ($41.8 million), en route to a worldwide total of $319 million from a $20 million budget.

The supporting cast includesFrances O’Connor, Shannon Kook-Chun, Jennifer Collins, Madison Wolfe,Maria Doyle Kennedy, Simon Delaney andFranka Potente. It isn’t known how much filming remains onThe Conjuring: The Enfield Poltergeist, but Warner Bros. has already set a July 18, 2025 release date for thehorror sequel. The thriller will go up against Universal’sWarcraftand Lionsgate’sNow You See Me 2when it hits theaters next summer.
