The documentary series,Cursed Films, is coming back for another season. The series explores the creepy legends and horror stories surrounding supposed cursed movies and their sets ultimately revealing the untimely coincidences that led to some of horror’s biggest productions being considered cursed.
The first season ofCursed Filmswas aired on June 08, 2025, with just five episodes. The season used archive footage and interviews to investigate the supposed curses surrounding the productions ofThe Omen, Poltergeist, The Exorcist, The Crow,andThe Twilight Zone: The Movie, which are all known for inspiring urban legends and spooky coincidences decades after their release. The docuseries also interviewed occult experts and scholars of cinema and explored the real-life horrors that tormented the people attached to the cursed movies.

There are many other “cursed” movies for the docuseries to draw from moving forward, and many good examples will be explored in the new episodes. As reported bySyFy Wire, the movies to be explored in season 2 have been revealed. The titles to be featured in the second season areRosemary’s Baby,Stalker,The Serpent & The Rainbow,Cannibal Holocaust, andThe Wizard of Oz.

Cursed Films Season 2 Was Ordered Long Ago But Just Recently Announced
Cursed Films was the second most-watched series premiere in Shudder history, coming behindthe hit anthologyCreepshow. The series had been initially renewed for a second season right after the first season finale, but Shudder kept the project hidden until today.
Season 2 ofCursed Filmswill be written, directed, and edited by Jay Cheel (How to Build a Time Machine). The series is executive produced by Jonas Prupas and Courtney Dobbins from Muse Entertainment, along with Cheel and Brian Robertson from Low End.
There will be a lot more to come to Shudder beyondCursed Films' second season. Along with the announcement, Shudder also confirmed thatCreepshowis coming back for a fourth season as part of other renewals for the streaming service, includingKin, My Life is Murder, Bloodlands,andLondon Kills. Inspired by George Romero’s horror-comedy classic of the same name, each episode of the show pays homage to the horror genre with some quirky and entertaining genre stories.
There is no confirmation on whether the season will also have five episodes like its first or possibly more. Additionally, There’s still no release date for the second season as well, but you can watch season 1 streaming now on Shudder.
