Warning! MAJOR Spoilers Ahead forDaredevil: Born Again!Daredevil: Born Againarrived on Disney+ with a bang (literally) as Bullseye (Wilson Bethel) decided to massacre the customers at Josie’s Bar, including none other than Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson). The opening scene was an emotional gut punch, especially considering fans have been waiting to see Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), and Foggy reunite on screen since 2018. The opening scene was incredibly controversial, and fans across the globe took to social media to share their incredibly divisive reactions to the death. It turns out, Henson was just as upset about saying goodbye to Foggy as fans were.
In a featurette forDaredevil: Born Again, Henson, Cox, Woll, and Vincent D’Onofrio sat down to discuss the first two episodes and, specifically, that killer scene. When Elden Henson was asked to comment on Foggy Nelson’s shocking death, the actor only had three words: “Not my idea.” The death of Foggy Nelson wasin the original script forDaredevil: Born Againbefore the creative overhaul that took place in 2023. However, in the original, his death reportedly would have happened off-screen. When new showrunner Dario Scardapane was brought on to the show, he added the intense 15-minute opening scene to give the character’s death more weight.

WhileDaredevilfans were all hit with Foggy’s deathwhen the new series premiered on Mar. 4, Charlie Cox and his castmates knew for months. He continued:
