Daredevil: Born AgainSeason 1 is just a little over a week away from hitting Disney+, but fans might not need to wait much longer for Season 2, as it could be coming to the screen way sooner than expected. Originally announced back in 2022 to be an 18-episode season,Born Againwas then split into two, nine-episode seasons, with the first part airing in 2025, ten years afterDaredevilfirst debuted. While fans have gotten used to waiting years between streaming series — and in many MCU Disney+ series cases, not even getting a second season —Daredevil: Born Againlooks to be the start of a new era, even though it is a continuation of theDaredevilseries that aired on Netflix from 2015 to 2018.
Speaking withScreen Rant’s Liam Crowley, Marvel Studios Head of Streaming Brad Winderbaum revealed thatDaredevil: Born AgainSeason 2 is set to hit Disney+ in 2026, one year afterDaredevil: Born AgainSeason 1. When asked about the details surroundingDaredevil: Born AgainSeason 2 beginning production, Winderbaum was asked if the plan was for the series to be an annual release. Winderbaum responded,“That is the plan. Season 2 will come out next year.“He also revealed that they are already discussing the prospect of Season 3, hinting at Daredevil being one of Marvel Studios' first long-form live-action streaming series as opposed to a miniseries like previous titles.“Then hopefully, Season 3 and Season Infinity after that. I think this world is extremely rich, and there are many stories to be told on the streets of New York,” said Winderbaum.

Two Fan-Favorite Marvel Series Get Surprisingly Promising Season 2 Updates From Producer
With Marvel reevaluating its television slate, the door remains open for a pair of beloved miniseries to return.
Marvel Television Is Also Being Born Again
Daredevil: Born AgainSeason 2 is set to begin filming soon, making the 2026 release date a real possibility. It would be fitting, too, as it would air ten years afterDaredevilSeason 2, the same wayDaredevil: Born AgainSeason 1 is airing a decade after the first season of the Netflix series. This would also be the second MCU live-action Disney+ series to get a Season 2:Lokiwas the first, but Season 2 ofLokiaired two years after Season 1’s conclusion. So far, the quickest turnaround between seasons of an MCU Disney+ series isWhat If…?Season 2 and Season 3, which aired a year apart.
Marvel Television has recently started re-thinking its television format, too. When the MCU Disney+ series began, they were largely focused on miniseries, likeWandaVisionandThe Falcon and the Winter Soldier. However, that format was criticized as many fans felt that it played more like six-hour movies split into six segments. For series likeShe-Hulk: Attorney at Law,Ms. Marvel, andMoon Knight, the format left the fate of some characters up in the air regarding if/when they would be seen again. Marvel is now re-thinking this approach to television, asthree series have since been put on hold. Now, they are focusing on green-lighting series that can run for multiple seasons, hopefully annually, so fans won’t have to wait years to catch up on their favorite characters.

The question remains whetherDaredevil: Born Againwill debut in the same March 2026 release window. If it did, that would make it the final MCU title beforeAvengers: Doomsday. If it were to come out in May 2026, it would join Tom Holland’sSpider-Man 4as one of the few confirmed MCU titles set betweenAvengers: DoomsdayandAvengers: Secret Wars. While Charlie Cox has denied his involvement in the nextAvengersmovie, with Marvel emphasizing Matt Murdock as one of the recurring characters across the Multiverse Saga, there is a strong chance that he could play a small role inAvengers: Doomsdaybefore getting a bigger role inAvengers: Secret Wars.
