During a massive three-hour panel inHall HatComic-Conlast month,DC Entertainment’sGeoff Johnsconfirmed that the comic book character Hawkman will be a part of the midseason TV seriesDC’s Legends of Tomorrow. The character will join the previously-confirmed Kendra Saunders, a.k.a. Hawkgirl, played by Ciara Renee, but it wasn’t known who is playing Hawkman, until now. Earlier today, DC confirmed that actorFalk Hentschel(Transcendence) has signed on to play Carter Hall, a.k.a. Hawkman.

OnDC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Carter Hall is the latest reincarnation of an Egyptian Prince who is fated to reincarnate throughout time along with his soulmate, Kendra Saunders. Like Kendra, Carter can access the powers of the Hawk God, Horus, transforming him into the winged warrior known asHawkman. It was reported last month thatCarter Hallwill first appear on The CW’s hit showsArrowandThe FlashbeforeDC’s Legends of Tomorrow. The CW is also developing aHawkgirlspinoff series, which could feature Hawkman as well.

The actress previously starred as Black Canary on The CW series, before she was killed in theSeason 3premiere.
