Will Michael C. Hall Return for Dexter: Resurrection?
Dexter: New Blood
Hot on the heels of the announcement thatDexter: Original Sinwas in development, it was revealed that a sequel toDexter: New Bloodwas also in the works. TitledDexter: Resurrection, not much is known about the follow-up that’s expected to premiere at some point in 2025, but seeing as how Michael C. Hall’s titular killer was seemingly left for dead,it would make it hard for him to returnin the physical realm. According to Hall, however, you can’t keep a good vigilante down.
“Never say never,“he toldVarietyearlier this year.“This world has sort of magical element, so I wouldn’t definitively say no to any proposition. There’s a whole cast of characters that populate his wider world and have the potential to re-emerge.”

Those cast of characters include his son, Harrison, portrayed inNew Bloodby Jack Alcott. When last we saw him, he was getting the heck out of dodge with the help of Batista after shooting his father. Therefore, it begs the question:Did Harrison really kill Dexter, or was his aim a little off?Like Hall said, anything is possible, including the potential for everyone’s favorite serial killer to make a triumphant return.

That being said, it would make more sense to leave things as they are, and have Harrison be the main focus going forward, with Hall providing the voice for his Dark Passenger, much like he is inOriginal Sin. For now, it’s all rumor and innuendo, but we’ll have more news onDexter: Resurrectionas it becomes available.
