Check out their tweets below to get your first look at theTrollscharacters before their motion picture debut on July 25, 2025.
DreamWorks Animation’sTrollsis an irreverent comedy extravaganza with incredible music! From the genius creators of Shrek,TrollsstarsAnna KendrickasPoppy, the optimistic leader of the Trolls, and her polar opposite, Branch, played byJustin Timberlake. Together, this unlikely pair of Trolls must embark on an adventure that takes them far beyond the only world they’ve ever known.
Justin Timberlakewill write and perform original songs for this DreamWorks Animation comedy. His character Branch is a hilariously hardcore survivalist who hides his surprising true colors. About the project, the pop star had this to say.
“I have always envisioned bringing the two worlds of film and music together for one epic event [and] couldn’t be more excited that they will collide in DreamWorks' Trolls. This film is very special, the music is going to be very special and I can’t wait for everyone to experience it all.”
Shrek Forever Afterduo Mike Mitchell and Walt Dohrn co-directedTrolls, which is produced by Gina Shay. Thecomedy adventureis based on theiconic dollsmade popular in the 60s. About bringingJustin Timberlakein, DreamWorks Animation’s co-presidents of feature animation Bonnie Arnold and Mireille Soria had this to say.

WhileJustin Timberlakewill be heard singing in the movie, it isn’t known ifGwen StefaniandAnna Kendrickwill be lending their vocal talents as well.
