Romance drama filmEver After: A Cinderella Storyjust celebrated its 25th anniversary and to commemorate the film’s anniversary, Melanie Lynskey and Megan Dodds appeared onThe Drew Barrymore Show. The 1998 film was inspired by Charles Perrault’s Cinderella whereDrew Barrymoreplayed as Danielle and Lynskey and Dodds played as her stepsisters.
TheBlendedactress was delighted to be reunited with her two guests. On the opening of her show, she said in the preview clip,

“Welcome back to our very special episode. You know what it’s not even a show. We’re just here in a time machine back 25 years ago because it’s the 25th anniversary of Ever After.I literally can’t even believe that I get to be here with my sisters. My stepsisters, Melanie Lynskey and Megan Dodds.”
After the introduction and the loud cheers from the crowd, Barrymore asked the pair if they were really living together while filming the movie. She said,
“Okay, you guys, is it true, and I didn’t know this, you guys lived together during the film’s production? So tell me everything”
The pair confirmed, and they sat down to continue talking about the film, the preview ends there after showing the viewers a glimpse of what to expect on the upcoming episode ofThe Drew Barrymore Show.

Special Memories Filming for Ever After
This isn’t the first time the actors talked about the film. In the previous appearance of Lynskey onThe Tonight Showwith Jimmy Fallon, theYellowjacketsactress shared some adorable moments she had with the Ever After cast members. She described Barrymore as the “kindest person” while recounting stories, she said,
“She’s just the most special, kindest person. I had this moment, she gave me a gift when we started doing Ever After. And it was so sweet, and I was like ‘I want to give her a gift’. And I found, at this antique market, these plates with a butterfly opening in different stages. I was like ‘Perfect!‘And I gave it to her and she was like, ‘Oh my God! If each one of these plates was to fall to the floor and smash into a thousand million pieces, each one of the pieces would scream I love you Melanie.”
Lynskey was in awe as Barrymore seemed like a real life fairy. She added,
“In the moment of receiving the gift, that’s what came out of her mouth. It was the most beautiful poetic. I was just like, ‘Oh, you’re a fairy!’
