It’s been nearly three years since the second season of HBO’sEuphoriagraced our screens, leaving fans desperate for answers regarding the show’s status. For quite some time, it appeared as ifEuphoriawould never return for a third season but, thankfully, things are finally coming together and shaping up a season of epic proportions. With everything in place forEuphoriato return for Season 3, the largest looming question surrounded the longevity of the series beyond that point. However, thankfully for viewers, HBO has now provided a definitive answer to the burning question. The head of HBO’s drama division, Francesca Orsi, recently spoke withDeadlinewith news that the show is nearing its curtain call, withEuphoriaSeason 3 bringing the hit show to an end. “We’ve talked about it, I don’t think anything is over until it’s over, but it’s been discussed that this is the end."
The series is known for its high-octane drama fueled by the deeply personal struggles of its characters with taboo subjects like domestic abuseand drug addiction. With each character facing such intense obstacles, viewers can expect to see a series of satisfying conclusions to those arcs. Orsi went on to discuss what the ending of the series might look like and the impact it would have on characters like Rue, who loyalists of the show have followed alongside her journey of drug addiction for two seasons, beginning in 2019. Sadly, the series will be minus at least one cast member, following the untimely andtragic death of Angus Cloud. The actor passed away in 2023, during the show’s hiatus, so it’s likely his story arc will be wrapped up in the latest installment.
