As summer slowly starts coming to an end, the intense heat transitions into the coolness of fall. The leaves on the trees start to change into pretty colors. It’s the season for pumpkins and all of its spices. Apple picking will surely be a fun family time activity together. But do you know what else is fun to do now that the weather is getting chilly? Snuggling up in a blanket and streaming some new shows!
Apple TV+has plenty of shows coming out in September for us to relax and watch with some pumpkin spice lattes. An array of genres will be streaming throughout the month of September. Some shows will end their first season in mid-October, so we have plenty to watch as autumn begins. Without further delay, here is (just about) every TV show coming to Apple TV+ in September 2023.

The Changeling (Sep. 8)
Thishorror fantasy serieswill be an adaptation of a novel of the same by Victor LaValle. Show creator Kelly Marcel and directed by Melina Matsoukas, this series takes place in an alternate New York City. Apollo Kagwa and his wife Emma are new parents with their infant child. But Emma has been experiencing terrible post-partum depression.
As they adjust to their new lives as parents, however, Emma’s struggles show signs of going further than just post-partum. Apollo’s wife mysteriously goes missing, and their son gets abducted. Now, he must traverse through a magical world to find them. The first three episodes will premiere on Sep. 8 and are expected to end in mid-October. This show will definitely be a fitting watch as we approach the Halloween season.

The Morning Show (Sep. 13)
Whodoesn’t love a drama seriesstarring Jennifer Aniston, Steve Carell, and Reese Witherspoon? The first season aired on Apple TV+ back in 2019, with the series inspired by Brian Stelter’s 2013 bookTop of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV. While this is a fictional drama series, it brings to light the behind-the-scenes of what American morning television is and highlights important social issues/events that have taken place.
The first season tackles Carell’s character Mitch being fired for sexual misconduct while Aniston’s character Alex not only gets a new anchor partner, Bradley (Witherspoon) but struggles to retain her job as top news anchor. The #MeToo Movement of the time was examined through multiple perspectives throughout the first season. In the second season, Alex is pressured by the network CEO to return to TMS (The Morning Show) while Bradley is experiencing an identity crisis. Throughout the second season, the COVID-19 pandemic is spreading fast, and members of TMS are being affected by it.The third seasonis set to stream on Sep. 13 and has already been renewed for a fourth season.

The Super Models (Sep. 20)
The Super Modelsis an upcoming fashion documentary miniseries consisting of four episodes. The series follows the rise of Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, and Christy Turlington during the 80s and 90s. The quartet disrupted and reimagined the fashion scene during their time, and the mini docuseries will show us their formidable careers along with interviews with the four women.
The quartet transformed the supermodel industry, reinventing the views of what a model should be. They traveled from different corners of the world to meet up in New York.According to Vogue, countless other established designers collaborating with the four women may appear in the show. It’ll be interesting to see a fashion docuseries on Apple TV+. Could it be time to relive the glorious fashion days of the 80s and 90s as we watch these fantastic women reminisce about their model days? Wear those turtleneck sweaters and high-waisted trousers with pride, ladies!

Still Up (Sep. 22)
Starring Antonia Thomas and Craig Roberts, this Apple TV+ British original comedy series follows two insomniacs, Lisa and Danny. According to the official synopsis, “Lisa is an impulsive and free-spirited aspiring writer whose questions over her daughter’s future start keeping her up at night, and the socially anxious yet gifted journalist Danny. The pair have no secrets, except their feelings for each other, and while the world sleeps, they spend their long nights talking despite never meeting.”

The show sounds likea cute romantic comedywith themes of finding love in the most unexpected places. With other charming and talented actors such as Luke Fetherston, Blake Harrison, Lois Chimimba, and Rich Fulcher, this series is sure to keep you up at night as well to binge-watch! The first episode premieres on Sep. 22 globally and will release new episodes every Friday. The finale will air on Oct. 27.
