The film is slated to become available on digital, on demand, and on DVD on Aug 19, 2025. The film reunites the two after having previously worked together on the holiday movieFather Christmas Is Back, which premiered on Netflix just last month.
The official synopsis forMiss Willoughby and the Haunted Bookshopreads: “Move over Miss Marple, there’s a smart, stylish new detective in town — meet Miss Willoughby (Nathalie Cox)! Orphaned as a child, raised by a family friend (Kelsey Grammer,Frasier), and skilled in strategy, literature, and martial arts, there’s no case she can’t solve. But even she is baffled when a longtime friend tells her that a ghost is haunting the bookstore she runs. Is someone playing a trick on the poor woman? Is it a hallucination? Miss Willoughby and the Haunted Bookshopis directed by Brad Watson and written by Kate Wood, Chad Law, and Josh Ridgway. The film also stars Louise Bangay, Tara Fitzgerald, Steven Elder, Wayne Gordon, Scarlett Graham, Giacomo Gex, and Caroline Quentin.

Nathalie Cox is very well known toStar Warsfans for her role as Juno Eclipse in the video gameStar Wars: The Force Unleashed. She has also appeared in Ridley Scott’sKingdom of Heavenalong with other movies likeJumper,Clash of the Titans,The Double, andLondon Heist.She is also set to appear in the upcoming British comedyOne Year Offalongside Jeff Fahey and Chad Michael Collins. Certainly,Miss Willoughby and the Haunted Bookshopis a great opportunity for Cox as it puts her in a starring role in an intriguing film alongside a screen legend like Kelsey Grammer.
Cox’s co-star Grammer is keeping plenty busy on his own as well. He is planning to revisit his most famous role as there is a long-gestatingFrasierreboot that’s in development, and the plan is for Grammer to reprise the part once again. He appeared in several movies last year, includingThe Space Between,The God Committee, andCharming the Hearts of Men. At one point, the veteran actor was set to star inan upcoming comedy series alongside Alec Baldwin, but ABC passed on the project in 2021.
