According to new reports,Ezra Millerhas been back in front of the camera to record more reshoots forThe Flash. While news on the movie, and indeed the beleaguered star, has been pretty quiet of late, the last few weeks have seen a number of new rumors surfacing around the possible inclusion of Henry Cavill’s Superman in the movie. While those reports are unconfirmed, there certainly seems to be something happening with the movie asThe Wrapreported Miller was back on set as of last week to film several new scenes.
Of course, there are plenty of DC and Marvel movies that do late-in-the-day reshoots when required, so there is a possibility that these new scenes could be simply some minor pick-ups, especially with the shoot on the Warner Bros. lot seemingly lasting just one day. This would not be the first set of reshoots done for the movie, with Miller said to have completed other additional scenes earlier in the year. WithThe Flashnot arriving in cinemas until next year, there is still time for more changes to be made to the movie.

Warner Bros. Discovery has stood by Ezra Millerthrough a number of high-profile scandals, but whereThe Flashleads for the actor is currently unknown. However, that is also true of the majority of the current Justice League, with no one appearing to be safe in the mighty shake-up of the franchise that started this summer.

The DCEU is not the franchise it was meant to be, that has been made very clear over the last few years. Despite all of that, though, Warner Bros. Discovery previously revealed that they are attempting to come up with a “Marvel-style” ten-year plan for the franchise going forward, and everything seems to begin withThe Flash.
At one time, the movie was expected to be the end of the DCEU as is and would be a purge of everything that was brought along from Zack Snyder’s original plans for the franchise. Now, even that is not as clear as it once seemed, with the film now featuring both Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton’s Batman and potentially an appearance by Henry Cavill reprising his Superman role. How much of this is true is something that fans can only wait to find out, but does look like the DCEU’s future will certainly be changing from its original path.
Some people believed that’sEzra Miller’s private lifecould jeopardize the movie’s release, but for now, the film seems to still on course for release next year, helped along by what has been called some exceptionally good initial reactions from test screenings. There is still some way to go untilThe Flashhits cinemas, and Warner Bros. Discovery will be hoping to avoid any further dramas in the meantime. What happens after that is currently anyone’s guess.
