Today is Warner Bros. big Hall H panel at Comic-Con, where they are previewing a ton of their new movies. One of those movies is their highly-anticipatedHarry PotterspinoffFantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, with starsEddie Redmayne,Katherine Waterston,Dan Fogler,Alison Sudol,Ezra MillerandColin Farrell. The new trailer debuted during this panel, and it brought along some big surprises, including a look at all the magical creatures in the movie.
The film marks the screenwriting debut ofJ.K. Rowling, whose belovedHarry Potterbooks were adapted into the top-grossing film franchise of all time. Her script was inspired by the Hogwarts textbookFantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, written by her character Newt Scamander. The film reunites a number of people from theHarry Pottermovies, including producersDavid Heyman,J.K. Rowling,Steve KlovesandLionel Wigram. The poster, which debuted onTwitteryesretday, puts Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) front and center as he arrives in America, along with a number of other characters.
