We are all eagerly awaiting the release ofGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, butJames Gunnhas a little something else up his sleeve and it is coming out very soon.The Belko Experiment, a horror thriller from the mind ofJames Gunn, is set to debut in March and we now have our first look at it. Blumhouse has released a brief tease for the upcoming first trailer, which is set to debut on Wednesday.
The studio and the team behind the movie have been teasing the arrival of the trailer for a few days.James Gunntook to hisTwitterto give fans this brief tease until the full trailer forThe Belko Experimentarrives later in the week. The movie was directed byGreg McLean, who directed the cult favoriteWolf Creekand has a lot of experience in the horror genre. The project also has producerPeter Safran, who producedThe ConjuringandAnnabelle.James Gunnhas a lot of genre experience as well, so this could wind up being a sneaky hit early next year.

James Gunnis reminding audiences that he has more up his sleeve than just big superhero movies, which he has been mostly known for over the past few years. Thishorror thriller, which was written and produced byGunn, was recently acquired by BH Tilt (a division of Blumhouse) and Orion. This release actually marks the official return of Orion studios, as theGuardians of the Galaxydirector also teased on his Twitter. The two studios partnered to secure the release ofThe Belko Experimentafter its premiere at the 2016 Toronto Film Festival’s Midnight Madness.

The Belko Experimentis a movieJames Gunnwrote more than ten years ago and just recently got around to finally making, even though he didn’t direct it. The movie tells the story of a twistedsocial experimentwhere a group of 80 Americans are locked in their high-rise corporate office in Bogata, Colombia. They are then ordered by a mysterious voice coming from the company’s intercom system to participate in a deadly game where they will have to kill or be killed. The genesis of this incident is heavily teased in this first little bit of footage.
