ActorKelsey Grammerhas shared a promising update regardinghis planned revival of the beloved sitcomFrasier, stating that the series could begin filming later this year. During a recent appearance onThe Talk,Grammer assured fans of the blustery psychiatrist that theFrasierrevival is still moving ahead and that the latest look into the life of Frasier Crane is gearing up to go before cameras soon.

As well as providing an update on production, Grammer also offered an insight into the script for theFrasierrevival. Revealing that they are now “in the final stages of the final script for the first episode of theFrasierreboot and it looks pretty good,” the actor went on to express his feelings towards the script. Not only is the reboot so close to landing on screens that Grammer has had run thoughts, but the whole experience has left him feeling quite overwhelmed.

“I’ve had a couple of runs through it, and I cried, so you know, I’m happy.”

Grammer has played the role of Frasier Crane for two decades, so it’s no surprise that bringing him back once again has left him feeling emotional. Clearly, playing the character is something that he loves doing, with Grammer explaining what he believes is the key ingredient toFrasier’sunending appeal, and why he thinks the revival will work.

“The key ingredient for the Frasier reboot is actually Frasier, honestly. It was always called [Frasier], so it’s me, the key is me.”

Grammer, of course, said this with the kind of wry smile that would makeFrasierproud.
