Comic-Conis officially underway in San Diego, and HBO has big plans for their upcoming seriesHouse of the Dragonââââââ. The show is the prequel to the wildly successfulGame of Throneswhich aired from 2011-2019, and HBO wants to replicate its success with the new series. TheHouse of the Dragonlogo and pictures are printed on thousands of hotel key cards that attendees will be using, and the project managed to snag a spot in the Hall H panel set for July 23rd.

In addition,House of the Dragonoffers an interactive AR app, titledHouse of the Dragon: DracARys,which includes your own augmented reality dragon that you can watch grow. However, these marketing strategies are child’s play compared to the ‘Dragon’s Den’ that is set up for attendees to visit. The officialHouse of the DragonTwitter accountreleased a video displaying the larger-than-life set-up, and it completely transports you to the land of Westeros. Check out the video below.
In the clip, you see various soldiers dressed to impress and entirely in character, while a set of dragon eggs sit neatly around a fire. Next, in the Dragon’s Den, you may view the life-size dragon skull, surrounded by burning candles. Finally, you can head to the Iron Throne, a near replica of the one that will be seen whenHouse of the Dragonairs.

House of the Dragonwill start its Comic-Con panel this Saturday, July 23rd, from 11:30 to 12:30 pm PT.
House of the Dragon Marketing is Full Steam Ahead
With the imminent release ofHouse of the Dragon,HBO has begun the big push to market the series to their viewers. The show, which follows House Targaryen 200 years before the events ofGame of Thrones, is primed to be the biggest show the streaming provider has seen since the originalGOTseries.

With Miguel Sapochnik, Ryan Condal, and George R.R. Martin creating the show,House of the Dragonshould be in good hands. The series stars Paddy Considine (The World’s End),Olivia Cooke(Slow Horses), Emma D’Arcy (Truth Seekers), and Matt Smith (Doctor Who).
HBO released a new trailer for the series yesterday, July 20th, promoting the show. In the near-three-minute trailer, we see the ensuing drama regarding the succession of the throne and the battles Rhaenyra Targaryen will face as she tries to become the first Queen to sit atop the Iron Throne.
