The Goldbergsare heading to WrestleMania, as the biggest wrestling superstar of all-time is set to appear this week on the show. Known for his birthing Hulkamania in the 1980’s by defeating Andre the Giant ro retain the WWE (then WWF) World Heavyweight Championship, legendary wrestler Hulk Hogan will be appearing as himself on the Nov. 6 episode of the ABC comedy series. Some first look photos of The Hulkster on the set with the stars of the show have also been unveiled, depicting Hogan wearing the classic red and yellow colors he had made famous in the ’80s. You can see some of the photos in the tweet below.

Titled “WrestleMania,” a plot description for the episode ofThe Goldbergswith Hulk Hogan has also been revealed. The story will follow Murray (Jeff Garlin) buying tickets to WrestleMania to spend time with Barry (Troy Gentile) and Adam (Sean Giambrone), only to discover they are fake and won’t get them in to the wrestling event. Fortunately, Barry and Adam still wind up getting the WrestleMania treatment once The ImmortalHulk Hoganshows up, played by the real-life wrestler himself. A sub-plot will also follow Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey) as she forms her own neighborhood watch group when the Frentas decide neighbor Jane Bales (Leslie Grossman) will be the Watch Captain instead of her.

The Goldbergsis based on creator Adam F. Goldberg’s childhood in the ’80s, complete with a childhood version of himself. In addition to the main cast,Patton Oswaltis also featured as the show’s narrator, voicing a present-day version of Adam Goldberg. Since debuting on television in 2013, the show has established itself as one of the more popular comedy series of the modern era. It has since run for six seasons already and is currently in the midst of season 7, and considering how often primetime network shows are given the boot, this can be seen as an incredibly successful run so far.

Set in ’80s,The Goldbergsalso easily sets itself up to pay homage to some of the most memorable pop culture icons of the era. Last year, horror movie legend Robert Englund reprised the role of Freddy KruegerfromA Nightmare on Elm Streetfor a Halloween episode of the show. It was truly an awesome moment, as Englund hadn’t portrayed the character since the crossover movieFreddy vs. Jasonin 2003. Some of the other notable celebrities to appear on the show include “Weird Al” Yankovic, Chuck Norris, and Rick Moranis reprising hisSpaceballsrole. With such prominent ’80s icons always showing up for special guest appearances onThe Goldbergs, there’s really no telling which other big names to come out of the decade will appear on the program next. Might I suggest Pee-wee Herman and Mr. T?

The “WrestleMania” episode ofThe Goldbergswill air on Nov. 6 on ABC. New episodes will also follow each week on Tuesday night. Wrestling fans can also catch The Hulkster on WWE programming where he continues to make sporadic appearances, though no longer as an active wrestler.
