Dave Bautista seems to have something brewing at Warner Bros. The wrestler-turned-actor recently took to social media to show that he visited the studio recently, seemingly teasing a project. As for what that project might be? Bautista didn’t provide much, if anything, in the way of clues, but quite a few fans on Twitter decided to go ahead with some hopeful speculation that he’s playing Bane in a future DC movie. Possibly evenThe Batman.

TheGuardians of the GalaxyandAvengers: Infinity Warstar took to Twitter to share a photo of himself at what appears to be the Warner Bros.' offices. Since Warner Bros. happens to own DC and is currently in the midst of making movies such asThe BatmanandThe Suicide Squad, amongst others, it gave fans fuel for what might be considered reasonable speculation.Dave Bautistashared the photo with the following caption.

The Batman

“It won’t come to you so get after it!! #DreamChaser.”

Even though there was nothing in the photo or the caption that directly hints atBaneor anything DC related, fans took the ball and ran with it. The replies were filled with people speculating that Dave Bautista, who currently plays Drax in the MCU, could be playing for the other team as Bane in the future. This isn’t completely unfounded. Earlier this year, Bautista expressed his willingness to take on the role of the famed, broodingBatman villainafter a fan suggested he’d be good for the part. Bautista has also expressed his desire to take on a comic book movie franchise of his own, and a Drax movie doesn’t seem to be in the cards at Marvel. So he’s got to look elsewhere to make that happen.

Batman

It’s also worth mentioning that Dave Bautista expressed frustration at one point because he had to pass up on a part in an unnamedDC moviedue to scheduling conflicts. Many assumed it was a part inThe Suicide Squad, since he and director James Gunn are good friends. Again, there is no real evidence here to suggest Bane is on the table, but Dave Bautista certainly seems capable of taking on the part. The character was played previously by Jeep Swanson inBatman & Robinand by Tom Hardy in Christopher Nolan’sThe Dark Knight Rises. More recently, Shane West portrayed the baddie on Fox’sGotham.

It’s also important to mention that this could very easily be a project not related to DC, or any other notable property for that matter. Warner Bros. is a big movie studio that produces a wide array of projects. That leaves the door wide open in terms of what they may or may not be discussing with a big star. Still, we can’t blame fans for speculating here. Be sure to check out the post fromDave Bautista’s Twitteraccount and speculate away.
