He’s saved the world several times over as James Bond, becomeone of the DCEU’s strongest heroes, and run a criminal empire inMobLand. Now,Pierce Brosnanis stepping into the ring (kind of) for a new boxing biopic. Brosnan won’t be donning any sparkly shorts or red gloves, but he’ll be sitting in the corner as audiences see the life story of the iconic boxing champion, Prince Naseem (real name: Naseem Hamed). The new movie recently unveiled its first trailer and, along with some flashy boxing scenes, it also revealed Pierce Brosnan’s unrecognizable transformation for the film.
The first trailer forGiantwas recently released online, and it showcases the tight bond between Prince Naseem and his famous boxing coach, Brendan Ingle. Amir El-Masry plays the beloved boxer, as the film follows his journey from a young bullied kid in Sheffield, England, to the featherweight champion of the world who impressed fans with his unconventional style and showmanship. As well as showing off El-Masry’s uncanny performance as Naseem, it also revealed Pierce Brosnan’s near-unrecognizable transformation to play the Irish boxing coach. While he may look very different in the film, ironically, it will be one of the few times that Brosnan gets to use his natural accent on screen.

Russell Crowe Takes to the Cage in First Look at Devastating New MMA Movie
Russell Crowe co-wrote and stars in the new MMA action movie ‘Beast in Me.’
Giantis written and directed by Rowan Athale (Strange But True). Alongside El-Masry and Brosnan, it also stars Katherine Dow Blynton, Elika Ashoori, Olivia Barrowclough, Austin Haynes, Rocco Haynes, Oliver Joseph Brooke, and Arian Nik. Prince Naseem is one of themost famous boxers of the ’90s and 2000s.He began fighting professionally in 1992 and competed until 2002. Naseem didn’t just stun audiences with his showboating and fancy footwork; he backed it up with knockout power, winning several featherweight titles between 1995 and 2000.

‘Giant’ Nails Prince Naseem’s Iconic Boxing Style
Prince Naseem wasa great boxer, with strong power and good technique. But his fundamental skills are often overshadowed by his cocky and arrogant boxing style. Starting with a front flip into the ring before each fight, Naseem would literally dance around his opponents, darting in and out and using head movement to frustrate them, all while showboating to the crowd. As well as being a good way to make himself recognizable to audiences, it also frustrated his opponents, causing them to make mistakes.
His boxing style is arguably the most important element the film has to get right, and the first trailer has lifted fans' hopes. The trailer shows a few clips of Amir El-Masry in the ring as Prince Naseem. We don’t get to see too much of the fights, but El-Masry embodies Naseem’s style. While the full fights will be withheld until the film is released, the trailer does show off his iconic front flip into the ring.

Giantcurrently doesn’t have a release date. The film is expected to premiere at the London International Film Festival later this year, although that hasn’t officially been confirmed.
