John WickstarJohn Leguizamohas a few choice words forLois & Clark: The New Adventures of SupermanactorDean Cain, after he shared that he would be joining the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) ranks. Leguizamo did not hold back, calling Cain a “moron” and a “loser” in a social media post shared on his Instagram page on Friday.
Cain announced his new role on the Fox News programJesse Watters Primetime. The actor, who is also a sworn deputy sheriff and a reserve police officer, explained that he was a patriot “stepping up"to do what he believed was the “right thing.”

“I put out a recruitment video yesterday — I’m actually a sworn deputy sheriff and a reserve police office, I wasn’t part of ICE — but once I put that out there, and you put a little blurb on your show, it went crazy. So now I’ve spoken with some officials over at ICE, and I will be sworn in as an ICE agent, ASAP.”
Cain also shared the news of his decision to jointhe controversial organizationthrough a social media video (onInstagram), where he shared:

“Hey everybody, Dean Cain here. For those who don’t know, I am a sworn law enforcement officer, as well as being a filmmaker, and I felt it was important to join with our first responders to help secure the safety of all Americans, not just talk about it. So I joined up. Since President Trump took office, ICE has arrested hundreds of thousands of criminals, including terrorists, rapists, murderers, pedophiles, MS-13 gang members, drug traffickers, you name it—very dangerous people who are no longer on the streets.”
In response, Leguizamo was quick to critique Cain’s decision to join ICE. Responding with his ownInstagramvideo, he captioned his follow-up post: “#deancain volunteered to be an ICE agent! I got one word for you: LOSER!” and asked:

“What kind of loser volunteers to be an ICE officer? What a moron! Dean Cain, your pronouns are has/been.”
Dean Cain on “Immigrant” Superman
Dean Cain is best known for his role as Superman in thetelevision seriesLois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, which ran from 1993 to 1997. Along with Cain, the series starred Terri Hatcher (as Lois), Lane Smith, K Callan, and Eddie Jones. Throughout its four-season run, the series was well-received by critics and audiences. Adding to his superhero legacy, Cain portrayed Jeremiah Danvers, the adoptive father of Supergirl, on the CW’sSupergirlfrom 2015 to 2017. Cain recently criticized the latest iteration of Superman/Clark Kent, after director James Gunn called the Man of Steel an immigrant:
“I was excited for the film. I’m excited to see what it is because James Gunn seems to have a sense of humor and the last iterations of Superman didn’t have much humor, and I love the humor in Superman. So I’m rooting for it to be a success, but I don’t like that last political comment.”
Cain added that he didn’t think it would “help the numbers” and shared that people need to be “educated on this immigration situation because we are the most immigrant-friendly country by far on this planet.” Gunn’sSuperman, starring David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, and Nicholas Hoult, is now in theaters.
