New Look at ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ Finally Reveals What Audiences Want To See — Dinosaurs
Gareth Edwards' entry in the ‘Jurassic World’ franchise just dropped a bunch of new images.
Jurassic World: Rebirthtakes place five years afterDominion, and finds covert operations specialistZora Bennett (Johansson) leading an expedition to a location near the equator, where the remaining dinosaurs have survived. The others have gone extinct in other environments except those similar to their original habitat. The official plot reads:
“Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived. The three most colossal creatures within that tropical biosphere hold the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind.”
Screenwriter Koepp, who co-wrote the first film with the late, great Michael Crichton, has said the film will go back to Crichton’s original novel for a major action sequence that wasn’t inJurassic Park.Fans speculated it was a sequence involving Grant and the kids on a raft in a lagoon trying not to wake the T-Rex, which has been confirmed. BothThe Lost World: Jurassic Park(which Koepp wrote) andJurassic Park IIIfeatured scenes from the first book: a scene involving a young girl and tiny “Compy” dinosaurs, and the famous avian scene, respectively.
