Earlier this year, Warner Bros. shot down rumors thatJustice Leaguewas being delayed andZack Snyderwas being removed as director. Instead, they announced aproductionstart on April 11 at Pinewood Studios in the U.K. In the nearly three months since production kicked off, Warner Bros. has remained relatively quiet about the movie. Though they have revealed an official synopsis, a full cast list was never announced. Perhaps it’s because the ensemble is still being finalized. A new rumor sparked over the 4th of July holiday, claiming thatColin FarrellandGame of ThronesstarMichiel Huismanare in talks for unspecified roles.
The news comes from a RussianTwitteruser dubbed “CutTheCrapTV” who claims that bothColin FarrellandMichiel Huismanare in negotiations to join the superhero adaptation. Of course, there is no word about who they may be playing, or confirmation from the studio that they are even in talks for this project. We do however have verified news that Welsh actorJulian Lewis Joneshas in fact signed on for a mystery role. Here’s what the actor had to say about his casting in a recent interview.
“I’m not allowed to say yet what part I play but let’s just say I’ve a role in what will likely be the most expensive film ever made. Directed by Zack Snyder it stars Ben Affleck, Jeremy Irons and host of A-list actors. I’m just happy to have been involved and I’m looking forward to the movie’s release which will be next year.”
It’s worth noting that back in November,Colin Farrellwas rumored to play John Constantine inJustice League: Dark, which has never been confirmed. IfMichiel Huismandoes come aboard, it would mark his first ever role in asuperhero movie, although he did star in the 2013 graphic novel adaptationWorld War Z. It remains to be seen when, or if, these two actors will be confirmed as part of the cast.

It isn’t known when production is scheduled to wrap onJustice League, which has been set for release on July 18, 2025, under the direction ofZack Snyder.
