As horrifying as it would be in real life,body-swapping filmsare some of the most hilarious productions. At some point, everyone has imagined what their lives would be like if they switched places with someone more fortunate, especially when they’re struggling. From Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan’sFreaky Fridayto Regina Hall and Marsai Martin’sLittle, waking up in someone else’s body would be haunting, but watching it on screen is pure comedy. The latest swap film comes fromAziz Ansari, who also stars in the movie and wrote, produced, and directed it.Good Fortuneis the name, andKeanu Reevesis the angel sent to teach a lesson to Ansari’s character Arj that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side, as he switches bodies withSeth Rogen’s Jeff.

In the film’s new trailer, which comes courtesy of Lionsgate Movies, viewers are introduced to Reeves’s Gabriel, an angel sent to save Arj. While it begins with a cinematic shot of Gabriel looking out over Los Angeles (aptly dubbed the City of Angels), the scene quickly cuts to him in a parking lot, talking to Arj and explaining what drew his arrival. Confused and a bit cautious, Arj replies, “What?! Who the f**k are you?!” To convince him that he’s not just some strange person who is dressed up for fun, Gabriel points to his wings and tells Arj that he knows all about him, including that he lost his job and is living in his car.

Keanu Reeves as John Constantine

Highly Anticipated DC Sequel’s Hellishly Long Delay Caused by Keanu Reeves' Demand for Quality

Original Constantine star Peter Stormare has revealed that the long-delayed sequel has been stalled for a positive reason.

“I did everything I was supposed to do, and nothing’s working out,” says Arj in response. While clearly desperate, there’s a problem. You see, Gabriel is normally only in charge of saving people from texting and driving, revealing that he’s a “budget guardian angel.” As Arj explains what his life has become, viewers are introduced to Jeff (Rogen). Jeff’s a wealthy man, and Arj’s employer, described as an individual who actually gets to live and enjoy life. To show Arj that life isn’t always perfect for the wealthy, Gabriel gives Jeff’s life to Arj and vice versa. However, another major problem occurs: wealth indeed fixes most of Arj’s issues, and Gabriel loses his wings. Meanwhile, Jeff witnesses firsthand the hardships faced by those who struggle to get by.

Aziz Ansari Explains Why Keanu Reeves' Angel Wings Are So Small

Good Fortunealso stars Sandra Oh as Martha (the angel who takes Gabriel’s wings), andKeke Palmer as Elena(a woman with a life Arj knows all too well). The film is expected to premiere at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival in September, with a United States release on July 02, 2025.

A budget guardian angel is exactly what it sounds like. Gabriel is limited to stopping people from texting and driving, so that means there are no funds for extra-large wings. During a joint interview with Entertainment Weekly, Aziz Ansari, while speaking to Keanu Reeves, explained why the character’s wings are tiny.

“We didn’t want you to look like you were a Victoria’s Secret angel. We wanted to verify you had a little more life to your wings. We didn’t want you to look like [model] Gisele Bündchen.”
