The CW’sArrowandThe Flashhave brought in seemingly countless characters from theDC Comicsboth shows are based on, a tradition that will continue with the network’s midseason series,DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.ArrowstarsCaity Lotz(White Canary) andBrandon Routh(Atom) will be joined byThe Flash’sVictor Garber(Dr. Martin Stein),Wentworth Miller(Captain Cold) andDominic Purcell(Heat Wave), along withArthur Darvill(Rip Hunter),Franz Drameh(Jay Jackson) and Ciara Renee (Hawkgirl). Earlier today,ComicBook.comconfirmed with Warner Bros. thatArrowcomic book character Connor Hawke will appear inDC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

The character has not been cast yet, but a report recently surfaced that the studio was searching for an “African-American or biracial male” for a character who, “decides to put on the uniform of a missing hero who once stood for justice and hope.” The studio also confirmed that, unlike thecomic bookversion of Connor Hawke, this character will not be the son of Oliver Queen and his former college girlfriend, Sandra Hawke. In the comics, Connor is an expert martial artist and archer, like his father before him, and after Oliver died, he became the secondGreen Arrow.

SinceDC’s Legends of Tomorrowinvolves time travel, the site is speculating that he could be a Green Arrow from the future, or perhaps an alternate universe, but that hasn’t been confirmed. In the New 52 comics, Connor Hawke is known as The Red Arrow, and he is a member of The World Army. The casting report revealed that Connor Hawke would make his debut in Episode 6 ofDC’s Legends of Tomorrow, but it isn’t known if the character will appear in any episodes after that.

Even if Connor isn’t Oliver Queen’s (Stephen Amell) son, it’s still possible that he may cross over intoArrowas well. We already know that characters like DC’s Legends of Tomorrow starsFalk Hentschel(Hawkman) andCasper Crump(Vandall Savage) are set to appear on bothArrowand The Flash at some point before the midseason show debuts. Another report from earlier this week revealed that the newArrowvillain,Damien Darhk, will cross over into both DC’s Legends of Tomorrow andThe Flash.

The casting report did mention that this character, now confirmed to be Connor Hawke, would “pick up his father’s mantle and become a powerful villain,” so it’s possible that Connor’s comic book back story could be changed for the show. Instead of being Green Arrow’s son, perhaps he’s the offspring of Deathstroke (Manu Bennett) or any other villain fromArrow, but we’ll have to wait and see. What do you think about Connor Hawke debuting on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow?
