Star Wars: The Force Awakensdebuted during special previews last night, and its reception has been through the roof. For the most part, the movie didn’t disappoint. And one of the key factors in selling this nostalgia train home was the new score from composerJohn Williams, who has created the music for all 7 movies. Plenty of fans are still charged up, queuing back into line to watch it again. John Williamshas created 23 new tracks for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Things kick off with Main Titles and The Attack on Jakku. There are several mildSPOILERSlittered throughout this track list so be mindful if you’re waiting until later in the weekend to watch this rousing sequel. Other tracks include The Scavenger, Rey Meets BB-8, Rey’s Theme, The Rathtars, The Starkiller and Han & Leia. Everything comes to an end with the track titled The Jedi Steps and Finale.

Earlier in the week, we got to see a 7 minute video aboutJohn Williamsand his new musical creation, which was part of an extended segment from60 Minutes' piece onStar Wars: The Force Awakens. The featurette includes directorJ.J. Abrams, who says that this music will surely be studied by fans long after the movie hits theaters. Here, we also get to watchJohn Williamscompose some of the score. Abrams says that having a composer likeJohn Williamsis almost like “cheating” because he “writes feelings.” We get to see a few snippets of footage from the movie, but it’s all scenes we’ve been given before, except for one new one. This video offers a tiny glimpse at a never-before-seen moment featuring Rey and the ball droidBB-8. J.J. goes onto adds that this part of the entire process may be the most “surreal,” since he grew up listening toJohn Williams. you’re able to watch the sneak peek below.
