In 2019, she portrayed a stripper, Liz, in the crime comedyHustlers, starring Constance Wu and Jennifer Lopez. The plot consists of a group of New York City strippers who create a scheme to intoxicate frequent stock traders and CEOs who visit their club in an attempt to keep up with their lifestyles after the 2008 economic collapse. This was Lizzo’s first film appearance and, clearly, it is not her last. Besides appearances including a cameo in an episode ofThe Mandalorian, the star has been part oficonic movie soundtracks such asBarbie.
