Daniel Radcliffehas been, along with Taron Egerton and others, a long-time fan favorite choice to become the new version of Wolverine, when Hugh Jackman announced he would no longer play the role after 2017’sLogan. Even now that he’s teaming up with his friend Ryan Reynolds to show off his claws once again,MCUfans still believe a new actor should take on the part afterDeadpool 3now that the X-Men will play an important role within the franchise.
Despite the fact that Radcliffe has already left behind his days as Harry Potter, and has proven to be an actor capable of playing all kinds of characters, in terms of physique he seemed to be far off in the race to give life to such a fierce superhero as Wolverine. However, it seems that the Boy who Lived is ready to show that his muscles are no longer a problem.
New images of the actor inMiracle Workershave surfaced online, showing he’s more than physically prepared for such a challenge if Marvel Studios is interesting on casting him, besides the fact that his height has always been pretty accurate to play the famous mutant:

Is a New Wolverine Coming to the MCU?
Although Reynolds managed to bring Jackman back to play Wolverine in what will be their MCU debut, it is hard to imagine the Australian actor continuing playing the part for much longer. So now that the mutants have already been introduced into the franchise thanks to projects likeMrs. MarvelandBlack Panther: Wakanda Forever, and their whole universe will be explored inDeadpool 3, the chances of getting a new version of Wolverine are high.
Considering than the next movie in Reynolds' adventures as Wade Wilson reportedly finds the anti-hero traveling trough time and visiting alternative realities, Jackman’s version of Wolverine could not be the definitive one for theMCUbut just the one from the Fox saga, or even from some other realities. In fact, some rumors aboutEgerton playing the characterhave been around, and although this was dismissed, Marvel Studios could be presenting their official version of Wolverine in Shawn Levi’s film.
Deadpool 3is set to hit theaters on July 17, 2025. Although it was reportedly erased from a recently leaked Disney’s calendar, but no official word has been shared by the company about it.
