Will There Be More Nic Cage Dracula to Come?
Nicolas Cage loved playing Dracula so much that he recently said this would be the rolehe’d most like to revisitin a future movie. While Cage is featured heavily in the promotional material forRenfield, with his character also playing a key role in the plot, the actor previously confirmed that his Dracula isn’t in the movie all that much, the focus being primarily on Hoult’s Renfield. Cage says he is in this particular film for just the right of time, but he’s hoping to see more of that version of Dracula explored in a spinoff.
“I wouldn’t mind exploring how did Dracula become Dracula? How did you become that guy? I want to take the time to portray that, to see how he got there,” Cage said. “To me, Dracula was always [about] love and exile. He’s unrequited love, and ultimately, if you don’t get love back, you’re gonna go bad. I want to look at that.”
