Outer Banksfirst premiered on Netflix in April 2020 and quickly gained notoriety among viewers and critics alike. The third season is set to begin streaming next month, and fans couldn’t be more delighted about the show’s return. When audiences last saw John B and the rest of the Pogues, they narrowly escaped Ward and his hired goons after rescuing Sarah but losing the golden cross. After jumping ship together, the group found themselves on an island they subsequently declared to be Poguelandia. Despite their tribulations, they were happily making do given the circumstances and vowed to eventually retrieve their stolen treasure.
However, there was quite a revelation during the last season’s final scene, and audiences were ultimately left with an unexpected cliffhanger. Viewers watched as Big John, John B’s father, asked the ruthlessly murderous Limbrey for help with his son if he gave her what she wanted. Questions soon followed regarding Limbrey’s relationship with Big John and well as whether the scene was some sort of flashback. Audiences will remember Big John was thought to be dead after Ward pushed him overboard into the ocean following an altercation that led to Big John violently hitting the back of his head on the boat deck. Thankfully, season three ofOuter Banksis sure to pick up right where season two ended, so fans should quickly receive the answers to all their burning questions following the finale.

As the upcoming season plays out, the role Big John plays in aiding John B and his friends in their hunt for the treasure will be at the top of the list.
Fans can expect to see sparks fly between Kiara and JJ throughout season three, which will most definitely create some tension within the group given Kiara’s previous brief romance with Pope.
