Now that all four of the original Marvel Netflix shows have aired,Daredevil,Jessica Jones,Luke CageandIron Fist, many fans are waiting to see all of these characters come together in the upcoming mini-seriesThe Defenders. However, there is another series fans have been waiting for out of this universe,The Punisherspin-off, starring Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle. We reported in April thatThe Punisher Season 1wrapped production, but there hasn’t been any official news about when the show may premiere. During an interview geared towards an episode ofFargo, director Dearbhla Walsh seemed to have let it slip when the show will premiere.

While best known for her work in U.K. TV shows like the originalShameless,Little DorritandThe Tudors, Dearbhla Walsh is starting to branch out into more U.S. work. The Hollywood Reporterinterviewed the director about the recent episode of FX’sFargothat she directed, where she was asked if this was the first time she had directed a show in America. Dearbhla Walsh revealed that there was one other episode she direced in the U.S., for theMarvel NetflixseriesThe Punisher. Here’s what she had to say, revealing whenThe Punisherwill debut on the streaming service.
