It’s been almost a year since the finale ofResident AlienSeason 3 hit the airwaves, and as fans eagerly await to hear when Season 4 will make its debut, the stars of the hit sci-fi comedy seriesare teasing that it could be sooner rather than later. Premiering in 2021,Resident AlienstarsAlan Tudykas an extraterrestrial that’s sent to wipe out humanity, but ends up crash-landing on Earth and sticking around for a while, only to find himself defending humankind instead.
Appearing at Fan Expo Vancouver this past weekend (via The Direct), Tudyk was joined by his fellow co-stars Alice Wetterland (D’arcy Bloom) and Sara Tomko (Asta Twelvetrees) to discuss all thingsResident Alien. Basedon the comicsby Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse, the series has quickly become a favorite among many, due in part to Tudyk’s wonderful performance in the fish-out-of-water story, and the series' sharp writing that seamlessly blends comedy and drama to subtly tackle real-world issues. When asked by the crowd when fans might expect Season 4 to drop, Tudyk responded:

I feel like you should get it before the end of 2025.

“Yeah, absolutely,” Wetterland added. “They seem to be speeding things along for that very purpose. We don’t know when, but it feels like they want to air it this year. That is the feeling.“Resident Alienis making the jump from SyFy to the USA Network for Season 4, and though the first three seasons made their premieres early on in their respective release years (January and February), this one’s a little different. Filming is still ongoing in Vancouver, but is expected to wrap by the end of March, meaning we could see a September release if all goes well. “You never know,” added Tudyk, continuing:

“We were on Syfy for the first three seasons. Now, we are on USA. Which the cool thing is that they spell it right. Because that S-Y-F-Y crap annoyed me. Yeah, we don’t know, it is the same. The boss is saying, and it should be soon. We are almost done. We are going to be done in the next week.”
‘Resident Alien’ Has Impressed a Lot of People
Thus far,Resident Alienhas been a big hit with fans and critics alike, who are mostly united in their assessment of the series. It currently holds a 97% rating from pundits on Rotten Tomatoes, while its Popcornmeter – as given by fans – sits at 86%.“I put this on with the wife to just kill time while doing chores, now we’re both completely pulled in,“said RT user Anthony O. “Alan Tudykis such a wonderful human,” added James S, “and this show is a treat. It’s not extremely deep writing, but it’s got soul.”
