Earlier today,Robert Downey Jr.shared a new group photo on social media that has everyone buzzing. The photo reunites the actor with hisIron ManandIron Man 2directorJon Favreau, along with renowned celebrity chefRoy Choi, the newSpider-Man,Tom Holland, Marvel Studios PresidentKevin FeigeandAvengers: Infinity WardirectorsAnthony RussoandJoe Russo.Robert Downey Jr.revealed that this photo represents a “New project” bothJon FavreauandRoy Choiare working on, but very little else is known about what this group is up to.

The photo, whichRobert Downey Jr.posted onTwitter, has already gotten 3,800 retweets and 9,800 likes in the eight hours since he posted it, but the actor has not clarified why all of these Marvel heavy hitters are together. The photo was taken in Atlanta, whereTom Hollandis shootingSpider-Man: Homecomingand the Russo Brothers are starting rehearsals forAvengers: Infinity War, which is likely whyKevin Feigeis in town. BothRobert Downey Jr.andJon Favreauare most likely in Atlanta to film their roles as Tony Stark/Iron Man and Happy Hogan. We reported a few weeks ago thatJon Favreauis reprising his role as Happy Hogan, which he last played in the 2013 sequelIron Man 3. Still,Roy Choiremains the wild card at this table, but he has worked withJon Favreauin the past.

Roy Choiserved as the inspiration for the 2014 indie comedyChef, whichJon Favreaustarred in, wrote and directed.Roy Choialso shared the same photo on his Instagram page, telling his fans to #staytuned for more details on their secret project. We reported earlier this year thatJon Favreauis coming back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe by serving as an executive producer onAvengers: Infinity War, which is slated to start production this November. PerhapsJon Favreauis cooking up another secret culinary movie withRoy Choi, or perhaps a sequel toChef. Or is Downey simply refereing to scenes about to be shot forSpider-Man: Homecoming, which seems like the most likley scenario.

Marvelhas used the Pinewood Studios Atlanta facilities for many of its most recent hits, such asAnt-Man,Captain America: Civil War, and their upcoming moviesGuardians of the Galaxy 2andSpider-Man: Homecoming. It is believed that the rehearsal photo that the Russo Brothers recently sent out ofJosh Brolinin a motion-capture suit asThanoswas taken at Pinewood Atlanta as well. Filming is expected to begin in November, but an exact start date has yet to be revealed.

Spider-Man: Homecomingwill be released in theaters on June 23, 2025, withAvengers: Infinity Wararriving July 20, 2025. It isn’t known whenJon FavreauorRoy Choiplan to unveil details on this secretive new project, but we’ll keep you posted as soon as more information is released.
