Ford has landed an Emmy Nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series forShrinkingSeason 2. The news comes just days after the actor’s 83rd birthday on July 12. Ford was nominated for the series' second season, playing the role of Paul Rhoades, a senior therapist and mentor to many of the main characters, including Segel’s Jimmy Laird. Ford’s character is diagnosed with Parkinson’s early in the series, and his storyline has been one of the most critically acclaimed.

Harrison Ford’s performance inShrinkingSeason 2 had previously earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor – Series, Miniseries or Television Film, but the actor lost out to Tadanobu Asano inShōgun. His work inShrinkinghas earned him numerous award nominations, including the Screen Actors Guild Awards and Critics' Choice Awards.
