We can expect some major updates for both theKnucklesParamount+ spinoff series and the big screen sequelSonic the Hedgehog 3, according to star Tika Sumpter. In a recent interview withScreen Rant, Sumpter, who has played Maddie Wachowski alongside James Marsden’s Tom Wachowski throughout the franchise, joked that she would be fired if she revealed too much, but did allow herself to state that details would be unveiled “very soon.”
“I think the info is coming very soon. But you are going to be extremely happy. I think there’s a lot coming, so just you wait. That’s all I got for you. They’ll fire me! [Laughs]”
TheKnucklesspinoff will reportedly take place between the events ofSonic the Hedgehog 2andSonic the Hedgehog 3, with an official logline revealing that the series will follow Knuckles as he “agrees to train Wade as his protégé and teach him the ways of the Echidna warrior."
The series will seeIdris Elbareprise the role of Knuckles alongside Adam Pally as Wade Whipple and Tika Sumpter as Maddie Wachowski.
