Audiences don’t have to wait too much longer to bask in the animated brilliance ofSpider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, which finds our hero Miles Morales once again dragged back in to the multiverse. Unfortunately, Miles finds himself at odds with his variants, the Spider-Society, a group of Spider-People from alternate universes tasked with protecting the Multiverse after he is told that he, just like them, must make the ultimate sacrifice and lose someone he loves.

This latest look joins a pair of recent clips from the highly anticipated Marvel movie,Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, which offer another look at the animated outing and find alternate Spider-People Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy reuniting to fight once again for the multiverse. Released viasocial media, while one clip shows-off some web-slinging action, the other finds Miles dealing with his parents and his school life. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Versewill pick up over a year after the events of the Academy Award-winningSpider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and finds Miles Morales unexpectedly approached by his love interest Gwen Stacy to complete a mission to save every universe of Spider-People from the Spot, who could cause a catastrophic disaster. Of course, Miles is up for the challenge, and he and Gwen journey through the Multiverse together to meet its protectors, a group of Spider-People known as the Spider-Society, led by Miguel O’Hara.
However, Miles finds himself at odds with Miguel and the Spider-Society on how to handle the threat and when the heroes clash, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero, so he can save the people he loves most.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Has Been Compared to The Empire Strikes Back
The sequel, which will sit in the middle of theSpider-Versetrilogy,has been compared several timesto one of the most iconic follow-ups of all time –Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Not only have the comparisons been made regarding the tone of both sequels, co-director Kemp Powers has since revealed thatSpider-Man: Across the Spider-Versewill also end on a gloomy cliffhanger. “Across The Spider-Verse is a movie on its own, but it definitely ends on a bit of a cliffhanger,” Powers revealed. “I think it’s a good cliffhanger. We hope that it’s a satisfying tee-up for what’s coming in the third film, because you want people to be excited about what’s coming next.”
One personwho is satisfiedis fellow director Joaquim Dos Santos who adds, “I was very satisfied after The Empire Strikes Back. And hopefully, this is our Empire.”
