Tom Holland is back to his spoiling ways. However, it’s not really his fault this time around as the actor continues to promoteSpider-Man: Far from Home. A certain group of Marvel Cinematic Universe fans have yet to seeAvengers: Endgameand they are really upset at Holland for spoiling the movie during a recent interview. Holland has a reputation for spoiling MCU projects, but he seems to have learned his lesson after insinuating that he had some serious talks with Marvel Studios.

Spider-Man: Far From Homehits theaters on July 2nd, which is just around the corner.Avengers: Endgamehas been in theaters for nearly two months now and as Tom Holland says, the upcoming sequel is a direct follow up to the latestAvengersmovie. When asked about the sequel and how it fits in withEndgame, Holland had this to say.

“The film is a direct continuation ofAvengers: Endgameso we deal with the ramifications of the blip, of thedeath of Tony Stark, Sorry if anyone hasn’t seen the film! If you haven’t, then you’re living under a rock, to be honest.”

After the interview aired,Tom Hollandstarted receiving quite a bit of heat on social media. “Oh, cheers, Tom Holland! I haven’t seenAvengers Endgameyet. Thanks for the massive spoiler,” said one fan on Twitter. Others are sarcastically thanking the youngSpider-Man: Far From Homefor spoiling the movie and some are truly devastated as they have tried avoiding spoilers for nearly two months now. Here’s the thing though, Holland isn’t in the wrong here at all this time.

Even the trailers and TV spots forSpider-Man: Far From Homehave included the death of Tony Stark and the return of Peter Parker. While it’s tough for some people to get out to theaters to catch a movie, Holland has a job to do and that is to promote the upcoming sequel, which has a lot to do with the Stark death and how young Peter Parker goes on with his life without his mentor around to guide him. Tony Stark and Black Widow have been all over the news for the past few months, making it nearly impossible to avoid spoilers this far out.

While Tom Holland may have upset some MCU fans, he bummed out hisSpider-Man: Far From Homeco-stars by telling them about the Tony Stark death way in advance. However, they may just be teasing Holland since the death of Stark was more than likely in their scripts. Watching Holland go out and promoteSpider-Man: Far From Homehas been entertaining as he tries his hardest to avoid spoiling things for the fans. With that being said, this seems like an unfortunate accident for those fans who haven’t been able to get out to the theater to seeAvengers: Endgame. Sadly, the full interview is not available online just yet.Entertainment Weeklywas the first to report about MCU fans and their anger towards Tom Holland.
