Disney and Lucasfilm held the world premier forRogue One: A Star Wars Storylast night in Los Angeles} and while most of us have to wait until at least Thursday night to see the movie, those who did see it have been sharing their early reactions online. To put it lightly, they have been extremely positive, with many calling it one of the bestStar Warsmovies ever made.

Twitterwas flooded with early reactions from those in attendance at the premiere forStar Wars: Rogue One. We will be sure to keep this spoiler free, but some of the most positive reactions for the movie put it right up there withStar Wars: A New HopeandStar Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, which are pretty much universally considered to be the two bestStar Warsmovies made to date. That is high praise and should come as a massive encouragement to those eagerly awaiting to see the very first everStar Warsspinoff movie.Wil Wheatonwas in attendance at the screening and here is what he had to say about it.

Star Wars: Rogue Onedirectly connects to the events ofStar Wars: A New Hope, as it tells the story of the the Rebels got their hands on theDeath Star plans, which was teased in the original movie’s opening crawl. There really wasn’t much in the way of criticism in these early reactions, but Vulture editorKyle Buchanandid say that some of the plot elements are a bit murky, though it doesn’t detract from the overall experience.
