In just five short days,Star Wars: The Force Awakenswill hit theaters, bringing balance to The Force, and to fans who have waited for a newStar Warsmovie for the past decade. It seems everyone is excited forStar Wars: The Force Awakens, including the NBC late night sketch showSaturday Night Live, which aired a humorous parody ad poking fun at adult fans obsessed withStar Warsmerchandise. While the video is obviously a parody, it’s largely funny because it highlights a real cross-section of grown fans who are still snatching upStar Warstoys.
The video featuresSaturday Night Livecast members Bobby Moynihan, Taran Killam and Kyle Mooney, who portray enthusiastic fans interrupting a number of young kids playing with their newStar Wars merchandise. While the kids attempt to reenact scenes from this highly-anticipated movie, the grown-up fans think the kids should just leave the toys in the box and never touch them. Bobby Moynihan even shows one of the youngsters an accurate recreation the Millennium Falcon’s landing sequence.

Fans got their first chance to pick upStar Wars: The Force Awakensin early September, with an event known asForce Friday. LucasFilm even made history with a massive 18-hour live unboxing event, which was live streamed from 15 locations all over the world. Star Wars: The Force Awakenswill introduce three new heroes into theStar Warsuniverse,John Boyega’s Finn,Daisy Ridley’s Rey andOscar Isaac’sPoe Dameron, along withAdam Driver’s villainous Kylo Ren.Mark Hamill(Luke Skywalker),Harrison Ford(Han Solo) andCarrie Fisherare also reprising their iconic roles from the original trilogy, although very little is known about their characters. TheStar Wars: The Force Awakenssupporting cast includesDomhnall Gleesonas General Hux,Lupita Nyong’oas Maz Kanata,Gwendoline Christieas Captain Phasma,Andy Serkisas Supreme Leader Snoke andMax von Sydowas an unidentified character.
