Where Was Ahsoka During the Prequel Trilogy?

While Ahsoka was first introduced inThe Clone Wars, a series that takes place between the events ofAttack of the ClonesandRevenge of the Sith, many have wondered what she was up to before her presence inThe Clone Warsas well. Considering that she is introduced to us as a Padawan and that fact that the Togruta species age at the same rate that humans do, Ahsoka was merely a child at the time the Clone Wars began. As a result, Ahsoka would have been even younger during the prequel trilogy, meaning that she would have been found and brought to the Jedi Temple by Master Plo during that time, beginning her training as a youngling. This means that Ahsoka spent the majority of her time on Coruscant training to be a true Jedi warrior.

Where Was Ahsoka During the Original Trilogy?

Canonically speaking, Ahsoka was alive and kicking during the events of the original trilogy. Through all the difficult events she went through, including being wrongfully accused and tried by the Jedi Order, Ahsoka left the Order of her own accord. This, however, did not make her immune to Order 66, which she managed to survive by faking her own death and going into hiding for over a decade. Later on, Ahsoka was forced to confront Darth Vader on Malachor, as seen inStar Wars Rebels. While Ahsoka originally died in her fight against Vader, she was saved by Ezra and his use of the World Between Worlds. There is no official canon about where Ashoka was during the original trilogy, but it’s been assumed that Ahsoka spent a great deal of time on Malachor, growing spiritually and finding her own way into the World Between Worlds to find Ezra.

Was Ashoka Alive During the Sequel Trilogy?

While it’s clear that Ahsoka survived up until the events ofThe Mandalorian, many have suggested that she did not survive into the timeline of the sequels, as outlined byDen of Geek. Considering there is a 25-year gap betweenThe MandalorianandThe Last Jedi, it’s difficult to say where exactly she may have been. Her status of dead or alive was a hearty debate among fans until the release of the lastStar Warsmovie so far,TheRise of Skywalker. When Rey hears the voices of all past Jedi ,including Anakin Skywalker, Qui-Gon Jinn, and many others, Ahsoka’s voice is heard among them. Considering that all the other Jedi who can be heard are dead, since Ashoka’s voice was among them, it’s safe to assume that she had in fact died at some point prior to the sequel trilogy. While this is not an official confirmation, it is logical enough to come to this conclusion.
